English: The smaller of the two upstairs rooms in Clouds Hill. Originally Lawrence used the room as a pantry, with glass covers over the food. Later a bed was added for visitors.
"It was not until his last weeks at Clouds Hill in 1935 that Lawrence redecorated this room. As there was hardly any storage space in the cottage, he made a bunk-bed with drawers underneath. To damp-proof the walls, he covered them with aluminium foil. Finally, only days before his fatal accident, he fitted a porthole for ventilation. A friend had obtained this for him from the breakers of the 1914 battle cruiser HMS Tiger." 'T.E. Lawrence & Clouds Hill' National Trust booklet.
