English: Empty local train at St Margaret's with unusual locomotive.
View eastwards at St Margaret's Locomotive Depot, Piershill on the ex-North British Edinburgh - Berwick East Coast Main Line. On the day after the ECML had been blocked by violent floods washing away many railway bridges in the Borders, an ex-War Department 'Austerity' 2-8-0 (No. 63182) has been pressed into working a set of suburban coaches into Edinburgh Waverley.
