English: Sledmere & Fimber railway station (site) Fimber, East Riding of Yorkshire, England. Opened in 1853 by the Malton & Driffield Railway, this line soon became part of the North Eastern Railway empire. The station closed in 1950 to passengers, and completely in 1958.
View south east along the trackbed across the former level crossing, towards Wetwang and Driffield. The railway crossed the road diagonally with the station immediately beyond. The station site was a wooded picnic area when this image as taken.
