Summary

Description
English: Seal of the Territory of New Mexico, used from 1887 until 1912, when the territory was granted statehood. It had been designed (in its final form) by the territory's Secretary William G. Ritch in 1882, simply by adding the "Crescit Eundo" motto to a design originating from the 1860s.
