A reunião foi convocada pelo presidente do Supremo, Dias Toffoli, com o objetivo de debater ações de enfrentamento à covid-19, doença causada pelo novo coronavírus. Mandetta apresentou às autoridades presentes um balanço da disseminação do vírus pelo país e das ações já iniciadas por sua pasta e pelo governo federal.
