Description
English: Richard Darton Thomas (1777–1857) joined the British Royal Navy in 1790. On January 10, 1837 he was appointed Rear Admiral, and served as Commander-in-chief of the Pacific Fleet from May 5, 1841 to December 1844. He eventually rose to the rank Admiral of the White May 19, 1857.
