Summary

Description TriMet LRV (light rail vehicle) 124 westbound on SW Morrison Street at 11th Avenue in downtown Portland (Oregon), starting to turn into the 11th Avenue turnaround loop, which was the westernmost point on the MAX system until 1997 (the track at left was also leading into the loop). It is completing a trip from Gresham, but the operator has already changed the destination sign for the next trip, back out to Gresham. Car 124 was built in 1985 by Bombardier and entered service with the opening of the MAX system, in 1986. Until 1996, this was the only type of LRV in TriMet's fleet, and this group was designated "Type 1" after TriMet acquired a second, different type in the 1990s.
