English: Pavilion & Avenue Tennis Club Looking across four artificial grass courts with the modern clubhouse, opened in 2002, on the left, and the coaching team's hut on the right which was once the equipment store for Brighton & Hove High School who used this land as a playing field up to 1998. The tennis club began life in 1888 on the lawns of the Royal Pavilion and moved to a newer site in Wilbury Avenue around 1900 where it remained until 1998 when that land became 148726. It amalgamated with the Avenue Tennis Club in 1956 after they sold their courts to build 1555256.
