English: Northampton Square Terminus. A lot has happened in Leicester since this photograph was taken. On the left is the northeastern wing of Charles Street Police Station, opened in 1933 and closed in 2004. It is now part of the Colton Square development (the building remains with grade II listed status). Behind the buses on the right is the Carousel public house, now demolished. The area where the buses are parked is now St.Georges Way, a major dual carriageway forming part of a ring around the north of the city.
