English: Mounira Thabet (1906-1067) (also known as Munira Thabit) took up numerous battles advocating women’s rights through Al-Amal Magazine, of which the first issue came out in 1925 and Thabet was its editor-in-chief. One of the most significant struggles she spearheaded was on women’s political rights, i.e. their right to take up public posts and to run for elections.
