English: Midland Railway Centre, Swanwick Junction British Rail Class 100 56097/51118 - a Gloucester Railway Carriage and Wagon Company 2-car set, one of forty built between 1956 and 1958. Out of 80 cars, only seven made it into preservation, but three were later scrapped. The leading car 56097 is a Driving Trailer Composite with Lavatory, or DTCL. The rear car 51118 is a Driving Motor Brake Second, or DMBS.
