English: This is a homebuilt snowplane, it appears to have been built roughly during the 1930's through the 1940's based on the ski designs, controls, engine and other features. This pre-dates many commercial ventures but follows the development of the Russian Aerosan. Other notable snowplanes include Lorch, Fudge and Steadman which were all North American built snowplanes. Kristi Snowcat company designed a snowplane in the mid-1940's but never went into production with the design. Armand Bombardier designed and built a snowplane prior to 1920 but abandoned the concept to develop track driven snow vehicles. Plans for other homebuilt snowplanes were published in popular do-it-yourself magazines and included the MERRYMAKER and the SNOSLED models.
