The level crossing can also be seen, which is still operated by a Crossing Keeper that remains on duty 24 hours a day over three shifts. The line runs from Exeter St David's to London Waterloo via Salisbury and this runs on the Tokenless Block signalling system: block posts being Exmouth Junction and Honiton on this single line section.
