This was changed from a slightly different figure in December 2024 of 84.8% White which utilised figures from the 1981 census 'New Commonwealth country of birth to head of house applied to those in present residence', the common estimation method for the non-White population. This figure was used in Ethnic minorities in Britain: statistical information on the pattern of settlement, Table 2.2.
