It was dedicated in sessions from March 20–22, 2009. Prior to the dedication, the temple was open to the public from January 15, 2009, through March 14, 2009. Ordinance Rooms have four instruction rooms a two-stage progressive, five sealing rooms, and one baptistry. The Draper Utah Temple is placed on 12 acres with a chapel on the same grounds. The exterior finish of the temple has white granite from China. The temple architecture features a single attached central spire with an angel Moroni statue. The 57,000-square-foot temple is 166 feet high from the main level to the top of the structure's spire, which includes the Angel Moroni statue that sits on top of the temple. The location is near the mouth of Draper's Corner Canyon. The temple towers over 1,000 acres of new open space in the canyon below that the city approved in the fall of 2005.
