Description
English: The mosque was built in 1898 by Datoh Panglima Kinta Muhamad Yusuff bin Lassam, who was then Panglima Kinta or Lord of Kinta, as a commemoration for his wife, Saaidah bt Chik, who died in the same year. The family en:mausoleum of Datuk Panglima Kinta is located in the backyard of the mosque.

Didapati tanah kuburan di dalam kompleks makam lebih tinggi kedudukannya dari aras jalan. Di belakang masjid ini terdapat tanah perkuburan ahli keluarga Dato’ Panglima ms:Kinta.
