Deutsch: Die Bäume im Schild spielen, auch wenn es sich um Laubbäume handelt, durch ihre Situierung auf kleinen Bergen auf den Ortsnamen an. Der Rautenschild stellt eine Verbindung zu den wittelsbachischen Landesherren her. Pfalzgraf Johann von Neumarkt-Neunburg, zu dessen Teilfürstentum das Pflegamt Tännesberg seit 1410 gehörte, verlieh dem Ort 1412 das Marktrecht. Das älteste Siegel aus dem frühen 15. und ein kleineres Siegel aus dem 16. Jahrhundert zeigen ein deutlicher für den Ortsnamen redendes Motiv, zwei Tannen auf einem aus einzelnen Blöcken bestehenden Berg. Im 16. Jahrhundert wurden die zwei Tannen in Laubbäume umgewandelt (so Apian um 1568). Das heutige Wappen basiert auf einem Siegel des späten 16. Jahrhunderts und folgt in Gestaltung und Tingierung der Darstellung von Otto Hupp. Im 19. Jahrhundert variierten die Einzelheiten des Schildbildes. |
