Object history Die Figuren im Gemeindewappen erinnern an zwei Adelsgeschlechter, die in der älteren Ortsgeschichte von Bedeutung waren. Die gekreuzten Lilienstäbe stammen aus dem Wappen der Herren von Sunderndorf, die vom 14. bis Ende des 16. Jahrhunderts den Sitz Anzing innehatten. Der Löwe wurde aus dem Wappen der Höger übernommen. Der Münchner Kaufmann und Ratsherr Leonhard Höger erwarb 1652 das Schloss und die dazugehörenden Gründe und Rechte. Die Höger wurden 1667 in den Adelsstand erhoben; Anzing befand sich bis 1802 in ihrem Besitz.
