Summary

Description Aerial view of the Columbia River, showing the historical location of Celilo Falls and the Short and Long Narrows, now flooded by The Dalles Dam. The river bends to the southwest near Browns Island. The left panel is rotated 42 degrees so that the image will fit horizontally.
Source Aerial photography from the United States Geological Survey. I added the captions and compass roses and hereby release the modified map into the public domain.
