Summary

[edit]
Media data and Non-free use rationale
Description Three-dimensional homology model of human CLC-5 based on the structure of ClC-ec1 (7) showing the locations of each mutated residue. Mutations are color coded according to their class; class 1 (red), class 2 (blue), and class 3 (green) and are shown with side chains in space fill. Views of the CLC-5 dimer observed from the side (A) demonstrate the location of all mutations near the subunit interface. Views from the extracellular face (B) and of the subunit interface (C) demonstrate a clear distinction in the distributions of each class of mutations. Only a single subunit is shown in B and C for clarity.
