Deutsch: Breathearth ist eine interaktive Installation. Die Zuschauer*innen sind eingeladen, auf einer kleinen Erdkugel zu atmen. Mit jedem Atemzug werden Blumen, Blätter und Insekten auf eine Mauer oder einen anderen Gegenstand projiziert, bis das Ganze mit Farben und Leben bedeckt ist. Jede neue Sitzung präsentiert andere Kombinationen und es ist eine Überraschung zu sehen, welche Blumen die Atmung hervorgebracht hat. Die natürliche Vegetation verschwindet, wenn man aufhört zu blasen: die Erde braucht unseren Atem, um lebendig zu bleiben!
English: Breathearth is an interactive installation made with a Raspberry Pi, a small earth globe and a projector. Visitors are invited to take the small globe in their hands and gently blow on it. With every breath flowers and leaves appear on a surface or an object until it is covered with colour and life. Every new session presents other combinations of vegetation and it is a surprise to see what flowers one has created by breathing. When breathing is interrupted, you’ll note that after just a while the natural vegetation disappears: the earth cannot survive without our breath!
Italiano: Breathearth è un’installazione interattiva realizzata con un Raspberry Pi, un piccolo globo terrestre e un proiettore o monitor. Le persone sono invitate a soffiare nel globo terrestre. Con ogni soffio appaiono erba, foglie e fiori, fino a coprire l’intera superficie con colori e vita. Quando il soffio si ferma, dopo un po’ la vegetazione scompare: la terra ha bisogno del nostro respiro per rimanere in vita!
Nederlands: Breathearth is een interactieve installatie, gemaakt met een Raspberry Pi, een kleine wereldbol en een videoprojector of beeldscherm.
Het publiek kan op de kleine wereldbol blazen. Met elke ademstoot worden er bladeren en bloemen geprojecteerd, totdat alles bedekt is met kleuren en leven. Als het ademen stopt, verdwijnen na korte tijd de bloemen: de aarde heeft onze adem nodig om in leven te blijven! |
