Deutsch: "Die unbekannte junge Dame trägt die reiche, mondäne Kleidung einer Aristokratin. Für van Dycks hochgerühmte Porträtkunst sind sowohl die treffende Erfassung des tiefgründigen Gesichtsausdrucks als auch die Wiedergabe der Vielfalt an Oberflächenwirkungen charakteristisch. Raffiniert kontrastieren das zart gewellte Haar, die schillernde Seide, die filigranen Spitzen sowie das Schimmern der Perlen und Glitzern der Goldketten mit dem dunklen Hintergrund."
