English: The Ambassador of Timor-Leste, Mrs. Renata de Jesus received the courtesy meeting of the new Ambassador of German, Mrs. Annette.
The bilateral cooperation between Timor-Leste and German are cordial. Timor-Leste has received extensive assistance from Germany for nation building.
The government of German funded passenger and freight ferry Berlin Nakroma is so far the country's principal domestic maritime connection from the capital Dili with Atauro Island and Oecusse. A second ferry project to improve maritime connections is expected to start operation in 2021.
