Description1967 Fredericksburg, VA Soap Box Derby Champion Rickie Vernon Fines.jpg
English: An extant Soap Box Derby racer designed, built and raced to victory by Rickie Vernon Fines in the 1967 Fredericksburg, Virginia local race. The car has a cleft on the foredeck, called a sight groove, for seeing forward while crouching low in the cockpit. His win allowed him to compete in the All-American in Akron, OH later that year. This illustration is a 2D capture from a 3D model created by Bill Wrigley, found at Classic Soap Box Derby Racers (1933-1999)
