Deutsch: Baron Hans von Wolf (Hans Freiherr von Wolff), Oberst der Wehrmacht. Einer der wenigen Träger des Ritterkreuzes des Eisernen Kreuzes mit Eichenlaub und Schwertern. Kommandeur der 1. Kosaken-Kavallerie-Brigade der 1. Kosaken-Division. Sogar über dem Ordensbalken (der zeigt, dass er ein Veteran des Ersten Weltkriegs war) ist das Band der Medaille „Für Tapferkeit und Verdienste“ der Osttruppen sichtbar. Seine Uniform zeigt deutlich, wie deutsche Soldaten die Traditionen der Kosaken übernommen haben.
English: Baron Hans von Wolf, Colonel of the Wehrmacht. One of the few recipients of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross (German: Ritterkreuz des Eisernen Kreuzes) with Oak Leaves and Swords. Commander of the 1st Cossack Cavalry Brigade of the 1st Cossack Division. Even above the ribbon bar (which shows that he was a veteran of the First World War), the ribbon of the 'For Bravery and Merit' medal of the Eastern Troops is visible. His uniform clearly shows how German soldiers adopted the traditions of the Cossacks.
