Belonging was a 2004 TV play starring Brenda Blethyn, Kevin Whately, Rosemary Harris, Anna Massey, Peter Sallis, Jill Baker, Fiona O'Shaughnessy and Matthew Marsh.[1][2][3] The play is based of Stevie Davies novel The Web of Belonging.[4]

Plot

A middle-aged husband named Jacob Copplestone decides to leave his middle-aged wife Jess that he has been married to for 20 years and go and live with a younger woman and so Jess Copplestone is left to look after the elderly relatives of Jacob. Jess struggles looking after the elderly relatives of Jacob so much so that Nathan decides to leave the house and go and live in a house with a bunch of other elderlys to try and make things easier for Jess. After May has another accident in her home Jacob apologies to Jess and then they both decide to put May in a nursing home and they also decide to put Brenda in the elderly house with Nathan.

Belonging was screened on ITV on the 12 September 2004.

DVD Release

Amazon and ITV later released the full movie on DVD on the 26 July 2010.[5]
