Release
The film had its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival on January 27, 2020.[2] Shortly after, Netflix acquired distribution rights to the film. It was released on June 19, 2020.[3]

Disclosure received positive reviews from film critics. As of June 2020[update], it holds a 94% approval rating on review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, based on 17 reviews, with a weighted average of 8.04/10.[4]
