Dance Ikon is a Telugu-language dance reality television show that premiered in September 2022. The show is hosted by Ohmkar and airs on the Aha streaming platform. It features dancers from across the world competing for the coveted Dance Ikon trophy. The inaugural season concluded in November 2022, with choreographer Raju and contestant Asif emerging as the winners.[1] They received a cash prize of ₹20 lakhs and an opportunity to choreograph a top Tollywood actor.[2][3]

The judging panel for the first season included renowned choreographer Sekhar Master[4] and actress Ramya Krishnan.[5] Mentors for the contestants were Sreemukhi, Yash, and Monal Gajjar.[6] The show gained popularity for its unique format, being one of the first Telugu dance reality shows to premiere simultaneously on television and an OTT platform.

The announcement for Season 2, titled Dance Ikon 2 – Wild Fire, came out on February 1, 2025[7] with a 20minute media screening at Hyderabad, setting a launch date on Valentine's Day.[8][9] This season introduced actress Faria Abdullah as a judge alongside Sekhar Master. The show continues to be hosted by Ohmkar.

Format

The show follows a competitive format where contestants perform choreographed routines under the guidance of professional mentors. Each episode features performances, eliminations, and guest appearances. The judging panel is led by renowned choreographer Sekhar Master, along with other industry personalities. The winners are awarded with a Dance Ikon trophy and a cash prize of 20 Lakh Rupees.

Production and Broadcast

The show is exclusively streamed on Aha, a regional OTT platform catering to Telugu audiences.[10] The first season consisted of 23 episodes, with contestants vying for the Dance Ikon trophy.

Following the success of its first season, Dance Ikon 2 was launched on February 14, 2025, with new contestants and expanded judging panels.[11]
