Bowen is an unincorporated community in Rio Grande County, in the U.S. state of Colorado.
History
[edit]The Bowen, Colorado, post office operated from May 1, 1883, until September 30, 1901.[1] Bowen is mentioned, along with Bowen School, in a 1910 USGS report.[2] Bowen Cemetery and Bowen Community United Methodist Church preserve the place name of the community.
Geography
[edit]Bowen is located at coordinates 37°25′48″N 108°06′43″W / 37.4301°N 108.1120°W.[3]
