The Baseball Federation of Japan is the governing body for amateur baseball in Japan.

The Federation was founded in 1949 and has been a member of the International Baseball Federation since 1972.[1]

In 2003, there was 160,000 people playing baseball in around 5,000 teams across Japan.[2]
