Alec Brown is a British Labour Party politician who has served as the leader of Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council since May 2023.[1]
Brown has been a Councillor since 2015, first elected in the 2015 Redcar & Cleveland Elections for the Dormanstown Ward, but ran in Kirkletham in 2023. He was elected as the leader of the Labour group on the Council in 2021.[2] Following the 2023 elections, Brown took over the council, leading a Labour minority on the council.
