Abdul Jabbar al-Oqaidi (also spelled al-Aqidi) is a commander of the Free Syrian Army. He was a former Colonel in the Syrian Army who defected in early 2012. He is the commander of, and a spokesman for, the Free Syrian Army in Aleppo, the main armed rebel forces operating in Syria during the Syrian civil war.[1][2][3] He joined the Free Syrian Army after defecting from the Syrian army in early 2012.[1][4][5][6]
