7th Street/Metro Center, officially 7th Street/Metro Center/Julian Dixon, is a metro station in the Los Angeles County Metro Rail system located in the Financial District of Downtown Los Angeles at the intersection of 7th Street and Flower Street.[1]
The station is served by the light rail Blue Line and Expo Line, heavy rail Red Line and Purple Line, and by the bus rapid transit Silver Line. The Blue Line and Expo Line currently have their downtown terminus at this station. Many bus routes also serve the station.
Station layout
The station consists of three underground levels. The main concourse and the light rail side platforms are on the second underground level, while the heavy rail center platform is on the third level. A small first level mezzanine connects the light rail side platforms. The Metro Silver Line stops at the street level next to the station's entrances. The station used to serve Macy's plaza. Los Angeles is currently under constructing the former Macy's Plaza to a new shopping mall renamed The Bloc which will add a new direct subway entrance to the mall at the station.

Station enhancements
Metro spent nearly $2 million worth of enhancements to 7th Street/Metro Center station as part of the Expo Line project which was completed weeks before the Metro Expo Line began service to La Cienega/Jefferson Station. This enhancement included a new dispatch booth and improved signage in the station.[2]
Services
Metro Rail and Metro Liner service
Blue, Expo, Red and Purple Line service hours are approximately from 5:00 AM until 12:45 AM daily.[3][4]
Silver Line service hours are approximately from 5:00 AM until 1:00 AM daily.[5]
Long-distance motorcoach
California Shuttle Bus provides service to San Francisco, Oakland and San Jose from a bus stop at the corner of Figueroa and 7th streets.
Regional Connector
The under construction Regional Connector Transit Corridor will result in the Blue Line and Expo Line continuing north from this station terminus through Downtown Los Angeles (via the Financial District and the Bunker Hill area) to connect with the Little Tokyo/Arts District Station on the Gold Line, which will then become an underground subway station and move across the street.[citation needed]
