Wikipedia:Non-free content criteria/Amendment 2

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I propose an amendment to point 8 of WP:FUC, which currently reads:

"The material must contribute significantly to the article (e.g. identify the subject of an article, or specifically illustrate relevant points or sections within the text) and must not serve a purely decorative purpose."

that it should be clarified by appending:

"Specifically, content must be essential information that can't be conveyed with text, and itself subject of significant discussion. Any other use is considered decorative."
