I'd like to thank you Singopo for either supporting, opposing, commenting, nominating, reading, editing, promoting and/or anything else that you may have done for my successful request for adminship (I've broken the one thousand sysop barrier!); I'm thanking you for getting involved, and for this I am very grateful. I hope to be able to serve Wikipedia more effectively with my new tools and that we can continue to build our free encyclopedia, for knowledge is power, but only wisdom is liberty. Please do feel free to get in touch if you feel you can improve me in any way; I will be glad to listen to all comments. Again, thanks 8)             —Xyrael / 12:12, 2 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The Halo's RfA

[edit]

Re:My RfA

[edit]

I added this response to the oppose vote that David D. posted on my RfA.

"I did calm down problems. What McGinnly quoted on his talk page was the first edit I made. I ended up changing that a bit after I had cooled down a bit. I even repeatedly apologized on McGinnly's talk page, and I went as far as re-answering his question. We have resolved our conflict. Apparently, people may not have seen this yet (and I would understand why), but if people had seen it, they would have seen how that I avoided a potentially huge conflict by eventually resolving it in due time. 6 of these oppose votes came as a result of the comment I left on McGinnly's talk page the first time, and people haven't checked to see how I tried to make amends for my behavior."

I just want to tell you that this was an anomaly in my behavior, and that McGinnly took my comment out of context. I had reformed my edit, and I even repeatedly apologized to McGinnly and I have gone as far as making amends for my behavior.

Although you may think negatively of me still, I would appreciate it if you re-consider your vote on my RfA (even though, it looks like it will close later today).

Nishkid64's RfA thanks

[edit]
Thank you very much for participating in my RfA, which closed successfully earlier today with a result of (60/9/4). Although, I encountered a few problems in my RfA, I have peacefully resolved my conflicts and made amends with the people involved. If you have any further questions or suggestions, feel free talk to me. I hope I will live up to your expectations. --Nishkid64 22:14, 26 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

FAS Premier League

[edit]

I've noticed you have linked reference to the FAS Premier League to the S.League. This seems illogical as the FAS Premier is clearly a different league to the S.League and as such they needs to be separate. Perhaps your interest in this area could have you create a separate page for the FAS Premier League... Hack 12:48, 27 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Stop Fucking with my football pages!

[edit]

Stop using the phrase enters a team in... in my football articles!!! It sounds redundant and phathetic!!! Go do something else! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Matthew Timbang (talkcontribs) 15:06, 28 December 2006 (UTC).[reply]

My apologies. My irrational behaviour is due Liverpool's 1-0 defeat to Blackburn.

[edit]

Yes, that's is my reason for the irational behaviour whether you like it or not. It may be a lame excuse, but you have to accept it. Liverpool fans are a very emotional people. I apologize to you for any offensive remarks I made to you. Sorry. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Matthew Timbang (talkcontribs) 03:54, 31 December 2006 (UTC).[reply]

Sarawak is known as the Kenyalangs now. Why did you delete this?

[edit]

Sarawak is known as the Kenyalang now. Go check the fansites! Why did you delete this? You are a Singoporean who thinks that you are so smart. You don't know anything about Malaysian football. Why don't you go improve the Singaporean football clubs articles rather than "invade" the Malaysian football pages?

It wouldn't bother me if you correct my grammar or my spellings but altering the infos about Sarawak, exucse me, MY SARAWAK is insulting. I am a Sarawakian and I know better about Sarawak better than you do. I am a Sarawak fanatic and my brother is a former Sarawak player!

Sarawak's new battlecry is Kenyalang Enda Cuak not Ngap Sayot or Enchang Jang Enchang anymore.

You can touch any other Malaysian football article, but not my Sarawak. Okay? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 219.95.107.130 (talkcontribs) 10:31, 2 January 2007 (UTC).[reply]

If you check my contributions in the editing history of the Sarawak FA article, you'll see that I've never deleted or changed any information relating to the team's nickname or battlecry. The only changes I made to the 'Themes and nicknames' section were some very minor grammar amendments a couple of days ago. If any inaccurate information relating to this has been put into the article, it has been done by others, not me. Please check your facts before making accusations in future. Thank you for your consideration

[edit]

Thank you for the consideration you gave to my RfA. To be chosen as an administrator requires a high level of confidence by a broad section of the community. Although I received a great deal of support, at this time I do not hold the level of confidence required, and the RfA did not pass. You were one of the oppose votes, and raised concerns. I am more than willing to discuss those concerns with you if you are interested. Please let me know. Sincerely, --BostonMA talk 03:26, 4 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Kuala Lumpur FA.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Kuala Lumpur FA.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Singopo, thanks for participating in my successful RfA. You expressed concern about me not answer the questions; I've written some brief reflections, including an answer to Question 3, in case you're still worried: User:Ragesoss/RfA. --ragesoss 08:09, 27 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for taking the time to participate at the discussion in my Request for Adminship. Unfortunately the nomination did not succeed, but please rest assured that I am still in full support of the Wikipedia project. I listened carefully to all concerns, and will do my best to incorporate all of the constructive advice that I received, into my future actions on Wikipedia. If you can think of any other ways that I can further improve, please let me know. Best wishes, Elonka 05:07, 5 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Thank you very much fir participating in the discussion. I would greatly appreciate any education you could provide vis-a-vis the question I raised under your comment. If this current nomination does not pass, I would need to comport myself more in line with the community's requirements and you saw fit to register a comment. My RfB

[edit]

I wanted to personally thank you, Singopo, for your participation in my recent RfB. I have heard the community's voice that they require more of a presence at RfA's of prospective bureaucrats, and I will do my best over the near future to demonstrate such a presence and allow the community to see my philosophy and practices in action. I am thankful and appreciative that in general, the community feels that I am worthy of the trust it requires of its bureaucrats, and I hope to continue to behave in a way that maintains your trust in me and my actions. I hope that over the near future, you will become comfortable and satisfied with my understanding of the particulars and subtleties inherent in the RfA process, and that I may be able to count on your support when I decide to once again undergo an RfB. If you have any suggestions, comments, or constructive criticisms, please let me know via talkpage or e-mail. Thank you again. -- Avi (talk) 17:49, 7 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Singapore American School article

[edit]

Check your sources more often. I googled one of the sentences and got the same, exact wording from the site as shown in the Wikipedia article. Prowikipedians (talk) 07:03, 14 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

If you look through the Singapore American School article's history, you'll see that the text you think was copied was added into the article in May 2005. The website you refer to (Organization Research Guide at www.123exp-orgs.com) was only created in August 2006 (see: http://www.whois.net/whois_new.cgi?d=123exp-orgs&tld=com). This is clearly as case of this site copying its text from Wikipedia, not the other way around. Singopo (talk) 07:53, 14 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

My RFA that you weighed in on earlier has closed as no consensus to promote, at a final tally of 120/47/13. I thank you for your feedback and comments there, and I'm going to be considering all the various advice and comments presented. I might end up at RFA again some day, or not. If you see me there again in the future, perhaps you might consider a Support !vote. If not, not, and no hard feelings. The pen is still mightier than the mop! See you around, and thanks again. Hi Singopo, I wanted to say thank you for supporting my request for adminship, which passed with 100 supports, 0 opposes and 1 neutral. I wanted to get round everybody individually, even though it's considered by some to be spam (which... I suppose it is! but anyway. :)). It means a lot to me that the community has placed its trust in my ability to use the extra buttons, and I only hope I can live up to its expectations. 3R warning

[edit]

I am posting this to give you due warning about your blatant 3R violation. You have now made over 3 reversions in a few days to a sourced piece of material that is clearly relevant to the claims in your article. You may be uncomfortable with it, probably because as your name suggests you are a partisan to the events, but you have no grounds to delete it. If you do so again I will be reporting you. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.148.218.27 (talk) 15:08, 18 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have not violated WP:3RR because my reverts were spread out over more than 24 hours. Please see Talk:Asian Universities Debating Championship‎ for my further thoughts on this whole dispute. Singopo (talk) 01:38, 19 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

AUDC + All-Asians

[edit]

We've had our differences Singpo, and I'm sure you can make a wonderful case for why Asian IVs are big and deserve to be acknowledged, but I think it would be a little strange if Australian, NZ, EU and US IVs were not acknowledged, but All-Asians and AUDC somehow were. It's a hell of alot harder to get into the final of the former IVs. You must build consensus that AUDC and All-Asians count, because as the list states, the present consensus is against it.JJJ999 (talk) 05:13, 15 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for you work on the results table for the European Universities Debating Championship. As you know I have doubts over the use of debating.net as a reliable source - I am still looking for other refs but cant't find them - but with regard to this page which lists the pre 1999 results (along with post 1999 results) - I am not happy with using it at all for anything pre 1999 as it gives the impression that the pre 99 results are recollections - if this is the only source I think it must be removed (the pre 99 table). If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Singapore Armed Forces FC requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you.  JoeGazz  ▲  01:06, 18 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Sengkang Punggol requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section R3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a redirect from an implausible typo or misnomer, or other unlikely search term.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
