This template attempts to determine the surname of a given person, including any prefixes, and use it as a sort key, so that tables containing people can easily be set up to be sorted by surname.
Warning!
[edit]This template uses pattern matching to identify surnames, and it will not identify all surnames properly. It is your responsibility to check that the output is properly alphabetized!
