This template can be used to provide a link to Biografiskt lexikon för Finland's article on a given subject.
Usage

Finding the URN-ID
[edit]ID is the urn.fi value given in the article of the BLF article in question. As of April 2022[update], it can be seen at the bottom of the article. See for example Alvar Aalto. The code at the bottom of the page says URN:NBN:fi:sls-4321-1416928956927. Use the numerical id in the template.
Using the ID in the template
[edit]{{BLF|4321-1416928956927|Alvar Aalto|Eeva Maija Viljo}} will produce:
The link points at http://urn.fi/URN:NBN:fi:sls-4321-1416928956927 which currently redirects to https://blf.fi/artikel.php?id=1408 - a URL and ID which in the long run will be less reliable and perhaps phased out.
Other fields in the template
[edit]TITLE provides an optional title for the link in place of the name of the Wikipedia article, in case the BLF article has a different name for some reason.
AUTHOR adds an optional author at the beginning of the output.
