Proposed deletion
[edit]While it's an interesting article and an interesting dorm with an interesting history, I find nothing in this article that asserts that it has any more importance than dorm XYZ at ABC University and therefore support the proposed deletion. Peyna 14:13, 10 February 2006 (UTC)
The term "dorm" is of course a US term. Halls and Colleges in universities in some countries, particularly in the Commonwealth, are rather more important, if I understand the US situation, than dormatories in US universities. The delete tag refers to Whidden Hall, but the call for that to be deleted was inconclusive and it was kept. Smuts Hall looks to me to be an old and significant part of the University of Cape Town, but this article does not quite reflect that. However it should be kept and improved. I am removing the delete tag and assume that means it will go through the debate about deletion. --Bduke 00:07, 11 February 2006 (UTC)
Now that the article has survived AfD, I sincerely hope someone will get round to fixing it and cleaning it up, as some of the keep votes were based on this condition. Zunaid 10:08, 27 February 2006 (UTC)
House Crest
[edit]Does anyone have access to an image for the house crest that is allowable on wikipedia. It would be appropriate on the page. Ansell 03:39, 1 April 2006 (UTC)
Architect
[edit]Apparently the architect was Solomon. What is the full name? Is this a famous architect? RJFJR (talk) 15:49, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
