The maps here are wrong and don't reflect the 2011 redistricting: [1] jesup (talk) 22:57, 24 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Biden’s Margin of Victory in this District

[edit]

According to the wiki page, Biden won the district in its current form by a narrow 1.2 points. However, Clinton in 2016 carried the district by over 9 points, and Biden actually carried the district by 17 points. Could this wiki page be updated to reflect the actual percentage? Please provide a reliable source. -- Scjessey (talk) 18:41, 14 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Houlahan carried the district by 12 or so points, It is extremely unlikely Biden would underperform her by 10 points, or Clinton by 7 points under the new lines. The district is much more Democratic than its predecessor as shown here: https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2018/02/19/upshot/pennsylvania-new-house-districts-gerrymandering.html. Most likely, Biden won the district by a similar margin as Houlahan. Muhibm0307 (talk) 01:27, 15 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

One of the things we need to be careful about is not doing original research. We need a reliable source that states the correct figures for the district. This is somewhat hampered by the fact different counties collate their own data. For example, I can easily find the data for Chester County, but that is only part of the district. -- Scjessey (talk) 14:32, 15 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

OK then, the Daily Kos will be releasing results by congressional district soon at this link for the state of PA: https://m.dailykos.com/stories/2012/11/19/1163009/-Daily-Kos-Elections-presidential-results-by-congressional-district-for-the-2012-2008-elections. Maybe then we can update. Muhibm0307 (talk) 22:11, 15 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
