Explanation for Revert

[edit]

Hello. The edit by User:FDuffy had removed all material about the role of this tithe in contemporary Jewish practice and had characterized belief in tithes as "Jewish folklore". I reverted on both bases.

Much of the material added is legitimate and can eventually be added back in in appropriately labeled sections with sources and POV identified. However, I don't have time right now to painstakingly do so, as I did with similar edits to Maaser Sheni. The person adding new edits is responsible for complying with WP:NPOV including the obligation not to remove existing well-sourced material in order to present solely ones own views as well as the obligation not to present a truth claim about a religious belief as fact. We can sort this out later. Best, --Shirahadasha 23:38, 1 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed merge with Levite Tithe

[edit]

Proposing merge given parallel articles on essentially same subject representing two POVs. --Shirahadasha 03:45, 8 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have place an "under construction" tag on the page with intent to further (attempt to) improve the article in terms of references and accurate detail.--Marecheth Ho'eElohuth (talk) 22:05, 9 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
