fork

[edit]

This fork should be moved/merged into List of accolades received by MCU films. Nergaal (talk) 20:48, 6 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Once again, can you explain your reasoning? - adamstom97 (talk) 21:59, 6 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
It's a VERY short list, not really deserving its stand-alone article. If you make a similar article for all the 19 MCU films, you will see that all but very few (if any) really deserve a separate one, and BP is not one of those few. So just have a larger merged list showing the 3? accolades Cap1 got, etc. The current bar for accolades is extremely low, and BP doesn't really seem to pass it even, so why not have a bigger one instead? Nergaal (talk) 10:03, 7 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
This list was created partly because of the fact that the main BP article risked to become too big otherwise. I also don't like the idea of a gigantic overarching list like that, it would also fast risking becoming too big for the site. There are like 20 MCU films already and like 3 new comming out each year. Why do you seem to be so insistant on merging MCU articles into potentially bloated messes?★Trekker (talk) 11:03, 7 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Nobody is advocating similar articles for all 19 films. Furthermore, this film already has over 40 nominations and awards season hasn’t even officially begun. Also you’ll be ruining featured list like List of accolades received by The Avengers (2012 film). BTW, this list is longer than that one when it was first started.—-TriiipleThreat (talk) 11:24, 7 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
You're replying to Nergaal?★Trekker (talk) 11:32, 7 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, sorry if that wasn’t clear. I corrected the indentation.—TriiipleThreat (talk) 11:39, 7 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
That's fine. :)★Trekker (talk) 11:46, 7 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

BET awards

[edit]

Should Basset’s, Boseman’s, Jordan’s, Kaluuya’s, Nyong‘o’s, and Wright’s nominations count here? BP isn’t mentioned by name in the nomination but footage from the film is used and it’s each other of theirs most significant 2018 acting credit.—TriiipleThreat (talk) 10:18, 8 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I would say yes, and if we need a better source then perhaps an outlet has reported their nominations in the context of the film? - adamstom97 (talk) 10:20, 8 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Maybe there should be a subsection for it.★Trekker (talk) 10:25, 8 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Basset, Boseman, Jordan, Nyong'o, and Wright were originally added (Kaluuya was nominated for Get Out), but removed. BET have their winners and nominees from their respective films on their awards website. https://www.bet.com/shows/bet-awards/nominees.html MsScorpioMoon (talk) 12:23, 8 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
That’s strange, they used an image of Kaluuya from Get Out, but the film itself was nominated in 2017.—-TriiipleThreat (talk) 13:55, 8 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
No, the acting categories at the BET awards are not attached to specific films/series and the Kaluuya Get Out image reinforces that. - Brojam (talk) 17:17, 8 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
So, why were they nominated? Oh yeah, Nyong'o was marvelous in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Jordan was in every film last year, and Boseman in Marshall was far more memorable than Black Panther. The other nominations should be included, especially when the BET Awards were basically Wakanda Awards. MsScorpioMoon (talk) 17:37, 8 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
