This is also a geological term, which isn't discussed on this page. I'm trying to find out more about it, in order to define it for a training class. Any ideas?

- There was a suggestion on Lamination 4 months ago to redirect it here, since both articles covered the same material and this article is more evolved. There was no further comment, so I did redirect it here. I was about to go through all the articles that linked to Lamination and link them here instead, but then I thought: maybe this article wants to be "Lamination", now that that title is available?
