Feedback

[edit]

Hello, Ugoanums. I saw your request on Wikipedia:WikiProject Wikipedia/Assessment, and after making a few small edits I wanted to explain them and provide a bit of feedback. I concur with the start-class rating given by Ktkvtsh.

I removed the honorifics from the names of the subject's parents, per [[[MOS:MR]]. I straightened a pair of quotation marks per MOS:CURLY. I reworded references to UNN in a way I, subjectively, thought worked better. I almost removed the red-colored comments in the following sentence:

Agbakoba rose through the academic ladder at UNN to become senior lecturer in 2000 and professor in 2005. At the same university, he was head of the Department of Philosophy from 2007 to 2010; then Dean of the School of General Studies, from 2012 to 2013. Later, he served as the Deputy Vice-Chancellor at Madonna University, from 2013 to 2017.

However, since this article is presumably written in Commonwealth/Nigerian English per MOS:TIES, it occurs to me that this use of commas may be common in Nigeria (as an American, I would omit them). If so, you should keep them. Check your maintenance warnings for your citations. You marked url-status=live for your web citations. You should either remove these, or add archive links for all of them.

Finally, you should add a bit more content. I was going to say the thing the article needs most is a summary of this philosopher's important ideas, but you seem to have already written, then deleted, such a section. I'm assuming you had a good reason for this, so I'll leave you to it. You should also add a bibliography section of all this person's publications. Once those are in, I'd rate this as C.
