fuses

[edit]

my ford probe has fuses under the hood that look much different from these. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.47.140.38 (talk) 21:47, 18 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Ive noticed that there are 50amp ATC fuses (not the maxi) appearing from various sellers (mostly on ebay and sites like Aliexpress). I dont know if these are legitimate though, or just 40s labeled as 50s to try to sell some product. It might bear looking into and if necessary updating the maximum size available.192.55.54.44 (talk) 21:12, 26 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Blade fuses

[edit]

On one occasion in my experience, a blade fuse blew, the plastic melted, and the fuse body became welded to the fuse holder. Is this common? Fuse wire is bound to get hot so surrounding it with plastic, rather than glass, seems like a bad idea. Biscuittin (talk) 16:13, 7 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

All of the (many) links to http://cooperbussmann.com are no longer valid. As of this writing, the site's main address is http://www.cooperindustries.com. Sadly, the organization of the newer site is different, so the links can't merely have "cooperbussmann" replaced with "cooperindustries" and be expected to work. I wish it had been that easy. 96.253.121.160 (talk) 04:45, 24 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for adding micro2 and micro3.

[edit]

Thanks for adding the micro fuse images and info. I'd also like to work on fixing the dead links.199.255.204.2 (talk) 19:32, 26 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I can fix the links. JTsams  talk 12:50, 8 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

be nice to have a section discussing JCASE and Low Profile JCASE fuses

[edit]

How you test them how you remove them 208.53.122.13 (talk) 06:35, 14 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The only real difference between JCASE and just about any other automotive fuse is the form factor of the case. They're tested the same (with a continuity tester) and removed the same (pull out, push in). Mike Helms (talk) 19:47, 23 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
