I removed the following line from the article: In 2004, he ran unsuccessfully for president, under a platform he designated "National Recovery Program". There were only 5 candidates for president that year and he wasn't one of them (see Philippine general election, 2004). Coffee 14:47, 1 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you. That was my error: I was misled. --Wetman 02:49, 2 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

"Philippine"

[edit]

There is no such person as "Philippine". The proper way of referring to a male is "Filipino" and a female "Filipina". —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 67.99.248.194 (talk) 05:12, 10 February 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Point taken. However, in the context of the article, it's also correct. What is being described is "political figure" which is neither male nor female (and, for all we know, may not even refer to a person). So it's perfectly okay to say "Philippine political figure" much as we say "Philippine president", "Philippine senator"). However, I do agree that since Gringo Honasan is male, "Filipino" is the more appropriate adjective, so I'll let the correction stay. Satisfied? =) --- Tito Pao 03:14, 26 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Basis?

[edit]

What is the basis for "These 3 revolts contributed to the country's democratic development."? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Eas21c (talkcontribs) 07:47, 29 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
