Naming
[edit]please rename this into article into 'Gotha', with the current Gotha page being moved to Gotha (disambigous): this currently sounds like Kingston-town and the city's name on a disambigous page is quite a waste. 74.225.89.248 (talk) 05:32, 23 March 2009 (UTC)
I seem to recall reading that Dwight Eisenhower was once at a concentration camp near Gotha, any details? Clydt (talk) 16:27, 25 April 2010 (UTC)
Requested move

The result of the move request was: promote Gotha (town) to primary topic for Gotha. Favonian (talk) 18:42, 5 March 2012 (UTC)
– Primary topic; move was requested 23 March 2009, no opposition since. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 18:11, 27 February 2012 (UTC)
- Moved from WP:RM#Technical requests. Favonian (talk) 22:05, 27 February 2012 (UTC)
- Support. Almanach de Gotha, Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, and the Gotha G.V bomber also come up when you google gotha. But I would consider them to be partial title matches. Not only that, but they are also indirect references to the town. The article title should be the common name of the subject, so we should be removing disambiguators whenever that can be done without interfering with other articles. - Support. I randomly picked the month of October 2011 and looked at the page hits for Gotha (town) (2251) and Gotha, Florida (793). No contest; the German town beats the Florida city by a factor of about 3 to 1... clearly the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. --Born2cycle (talk) 09:04, 5 March 2012 (UTC)
