Article needs to be rewritten with a neutral perspective
[edit]Bihar remains a relatively less developed state in India. Someone with enough expertise on the subject can add the developmental challenges faced by Bihar that caused the lag in its economic development. The article focuses on recent improvements in Bihar, with very little emphasize on Bihar's development challenges. It is also written in a style of advertisement for current government. Dr. Singh's comment on this article
[edit]Dr. Singh has reviewed this Wikipedia page, and provided us with the following comments to improve its quality:
Data mentioned in this article are quite old and do not present the true picture of the Bihar's economy in general and contribution of agricultural sector in the state. There are also some misleading information given, e.g. it is mentioned the Sudha brand name for COMFED products was started by some IAS officer,Mr. R.C.Sinha, I find no such reference. It is popular knowledge that experts from NDDB, led by Dr Punjrath first established the Patna Dairy Project and then took it forward under various phases of Operation Flood.
Authors and contributors may be asked to revise the data with current/latest information available, so that the page presents a balanced view of the state's economy.
In the current form the looks like a compilation of various media reports which a highly biased towards reporting the state governments view points.
We hope Wikipedians on this talk page can take advantage of these comments and improve the quality of the article accordingly.

Why bihar is backward?
[edit]Bihar is backward due to indian politics. in education list, bihar is on the last position due to corruption and intentional approach from the governments, both central and states.
every time trains are filled with double amount of passenger but there is no facilities, to improve the number of trains. all the trains from all the directions are always filled with double amount of people. but government is not taking care of this. a total fail from the political parties side.
- Bihar isn't backwards, nor is it backwards because of politics. Bihar is actually derived from the Sanskrit and Pali word Vihara, which means "abode". --★Gooseflesh12★ (talk) 20:38, 4 July 2018 (UTC)
Lead paragraph
[edit]Economy of Bihar is largely agriculture-based, but it also has a significant service-orientation.
GDP = ₹757026 crore (110 billion dollars) at market price (2021-22)[1]
GDP (at factor cost) = ₹954695 crore (130 billion dollars) (2019-20)[2]
The Lead paragraph look awkward so i am proposing to deleting it.--LostCitrationHunter (talk) 14:49, 16 October 2021 (UTC)
Seems to be ad of the current government
[edit]This article contains bias towards the current government and critical viewpoints regarding the previous government(the one in opposition right now). The editor seems to have given very little importance to other governments other than this two governments ; seems to have ignored other historical reasons and the fact that social and economic indicators of Bihar is still the worst among the Indian states even after 18 years of current government .This seems like an advertisement to the current government.See WP:NOTADVERT ;WP:Neutral point of view.
