This article is much more about the annexation than it is about this village. There's a reason for wikilinks: they're so we don't have to repeat stuff in other articles on every single related page. nadav (talk) 19:32, 25 May 2007 (UTC)
Request: East Jerusalem sources
[edit]Right now the connection of A-Tur to East Jerusalem is unsourced. As such, I can not endorse the addition of the contentious East Jerusalem category. --Abnn 18:58, 28 May 2007 (UTC)
- There are countless references to the location of A-Tur in East Jerusalem. Since I was concerned that some editors might reject the neutrality of these, I have cited one which surely cannot be challenged -- a report on Building and Infrastructure Development in East Jerusalem by the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs. I hope you can now accept this categorisation. RolandR 19:32, 28 May 2007 (UTC)
- I must say that I find this exchange quite humerous. Unsourced? look at a map! Daniel Tzvi 06:55, 3 October 2007 (UTC)
- Where did you come up with Mound of Olives??? It is Mount of Olives. Please move the page accordingly. --Gilabrand (talk) 03:36, 24 June 2008 (UTC)
Spelling
[edit]In Arabic you write "Altur" and pronounce "A-Tur". So how come the name of this article is "At-Tur"?Eddau (talk) 01:25, 1 February 2010 (UTC)
- Some people prefer to transliterate Arabic sun letters in that construction the way they are actually pronounced, not as they are written. We seem to be among them. Daniel Case (talk) 02:10, 23 October 2015 (UTC)

Contradicting Statements in Article
[edit]Part of the article says it is a majority muslim neighborhood while another part says it is majority Jewish now. Which is it?138.162.128.52 (talk) 20:04, 5 June 2019 (UTC)
Shooting incident
[edit]I have restored sourced information about the incident not clear why it was removed.Anyhow I don't think its a right place for this incident at all.--Shrike (talk) 06:36, 27 March 2017 (UTC)
- 1: That last line, "after the youth ran toward officers stationed at the checkpoint wielding a large knife," have been added by IPs/editor which do not have 30/500 edits, so anyone can remove that sentence.
- 2: As discussed User_talk:Huldra#At-Tur_.28Mount_of_Olives.29_edit, it is one-sided, as the family contested that he was armed. The words "after the youth ran toward officers stationed at the checkpoint wielding a large knife" does not convey that this is only the Israeli POV.
- 3: I would agree to a sentence: "The police claimed he attacked with a knife, but his family denied this." Does anyone object that that? Huldra (talk) 06:39, 27 March 2017 (UTC)
- The latest version is absurd: after the youth ran toward officers stationed at the checkpoint wielding a large knife. The family said they don't believe to Israeli account and that he was armed, Seriously! And what "Israeli account"?? And could someone please at least fix that Haaretz link...I had, but user:Shrike in his wisdom made it just a [1] <facepalm/> Huldra (talk) 06:57, 27 March 2017 (UTC)
- I have fixed the link. You are welcome to change the grammar.Pay attention that the attack in the source is brought as a statement of fact--Shrike (talk) 07:13, 27 March 2017 (UTC)
- I’m not sure what you mean by that, but the present version I can live with. Both sides basically claim things, and no proof is given, Huldra (talk) 19:43, 27 March 2017 (UTC)
