6 x 57 Mauser
[edit]The 6 x 57 Mauser was developed around 1895. Bullet weight 120 or 123 grain. Performance unknown.
It is mentioned in Cartridges of the World 3rd edition by Frank C. Barnes.
So when USA wildcatters necked the 8 x 57, 7 x 57, 6,5 x 57 or 257 Roberts down to 6 mmm it was nothing new.
So either 6 x 57 in the 7,92 x 57 Mauser article should not point to the 6mm Remington or the 6mm Remington article should mention the 6 x 57 Mauser. Jochum (talk) 14:10, 23 June 2022 (UTC)
