Kornad
Appearance
Koranad is a very affluent commercial and residential neighbourhood in Mayiladuthurai, Tamil Nadu, India. It is surrounded by Kamarajar colony in the North, Dharmapuram in the East, Srinivasapuram in the South, and Sithkarkadu and Sholampettai in the West.
Koranad is a popular weaving centre and is known for "Korainadu cloths" or "Koorai pattu" manufactured using a mixture of cotton and silk thread.[1] The Punukeswarar Temple is located in Koranad.[2]
